Macromedia/Adobe's Flash quickly became a standard for low bandwidth animations
and intros but is falling less into use now due to poor search performance and lack
of support by some tablets and mobile devices. Flash can be used to perform
various tasks, from whole websites to smaller banner ads. Flash's edge comes
from the visual impact it can have on a webpage while using the minimum of download time.
Nowadays, with search engine rankings such a premium commodity, it is used mostly
for small area's of the screen but can be used to great effect.
